7 Beautiful Plates of Food From STL Restaurants This Week

Email share

Making delicious food is easy, right?  OK, we are kidding.  It takes serious skill to create tasty dishes night after night at a restaurant. That's why it's so mind-blowing when a chef or restaurant can create a dish that is not only delicious, but is downright a work of art.  An artists palette on a plate.

Here are 7 great dishes we found on Instagram this week from local restaurants that showcase some major culinary artistry (and photography).

Starting of, this beautiful risotto from Akar.

This tri-tip and beef cheeks from Salt + Smoke

These roasted local carrots from Herbie's in Clayton.

Mixed grain risotto with oyster mushrooms, burst cherry tomatoes, and sweet corn from Winslow's Table.

What about this pork burger, with house bacon, provel, charred onion, Red Hot Riplets and house fry sauce from Beast Butcher & Block in The Grove.

Check out these dessert nachos from Loaded Nachos in St. Charles

Guerilla Street Food is serving up this beautiful Kilawin, a Filipino ceviche served with crispy shrimp chips, citrus and chili crisp.
